Q: Where will my certifications allow me to dive?

A: Your certifications will be recognized anywhere in the world.

Q: Who will teach me?

A: Freedom Scuba USA has a very professional staff. Carl Sanfilippo is the owner and a Padi IDC Staff instructor with over 3,000 logged dives. Carl has trained hundreds of divers. Jason Meany is a Padi Scuba Instructor with many specialties in diving. Jason is also an Environmental, Anatomy and Physiology, and Chemistry teacher.

Q: Where do we do Scuba Camp?

A: Training dives will be done at Skaneateles Lake on the Freedom Scuba USA dive boat. Classroom sessions will be done at our store in Baldwinsville, and pool sessions will be done in Baldwinsville. You will be in the water a lot.

Q: Can I do just part of the camp?

A: Yes, you can do the Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver for $725.00 + your open water gear package. This is the Scuba Diver camp and is the first 2 weeks of the Master Scuba Camp. This part of the program is Tuesday July 5th to Friday July 15th.

Q: I do not have scuba gear, can I still join scuba camp?

A: Yes, Freedom Scuba USA supplies gear for the Open Water Diver course, and gear rental is available for all other courses. Tanks and weights are supplied at no charge for the entire camp. A scuba student will be required to purchase their base Open Water Dive package which consists of: mask, fins, boots, gloves, snorkel, and boat bag. Equipment packages will be available if a student desires to purchase their own dive gear. Freedom Scuba USA carries a full line of Scuba Diving equipment.

Q: Is there an age limit for a scuba student?

A: The only age requirement is that a person is at least 14 years of age.

Q: Can we do this as a family?

A: Absolutely. Scuba is a great family activity.

Q: If I do the scuba camp what would be my next step in diving?

A: Your next step would be the Padi Dive Master course. This course is the first level of professional diving and prepares you to become an instructor.
